I'll start it off that these are just plainly predictions. My very own gut feeling and how I assume that the season will turn out to be. My opinion is influenced by current stats and my overall impression regarding the NBA teams and players.
Western Conference

Pacific Division, LA holds the tie breaker, and just one back from the New Orleans Hornets for the Western Conference lead and that coveted number 1 playoff seed.
The Phoenix Suns set themselves up beautifully to go on this late season charge and finish up with moment to ride going into the playoffs. They had a slight let down as they adjusted to having O’neal in the paint, but things have come together with the Diesel, and over their last 11 games Phoenix has won 9, losing only the Detroit Pistons and Boston Celtics. And while both were winnable games, 9-2 looks pretty good after facing off against teams like Boston, San Antonio, Detroit, Golden State, Houston, and Philly.

t of time atop their division, and until recently have been among the top two or three teams in the Western Conference. So doesn't this Phoenix team have a player among them deservant of this kind of recognition? They only have four regular season MVP trophies between them all, two apiece for Nash and O'neal, so why not add a fifth?

be focusing on the game at hand, but the season at large. If the Suns get out of the stacked Western Conference this could be the team standing in the way of their first ever title.
